NewsFor the first time, the 2012 AAPT meeting in Austin, TX (April 1-4, 2012) will have a student poster session. The proposed poster session is for undergraduate and graduate students only. For consideration, abstracts on the topic of the poster are due January 15th, 2012 to aapt@aapt.comcastbiz.net. The students will be notified of their acceptance by February 15th, 2012. At this time, poster format guidelines and evaluation criteria will be sent to accepted abstracts. There will be no paper associated with the poster presentations. The poster presentations and authors will be listed in the program and will be set up in a common area for viewing during the Sunday evening reception, the Newer Members Breakfast on Monday morning, and the meeting breaks on Monday and Tuesday. The authors will be required to be present at their posters for judging on Monday at the conclusion of the Annual Meeting sessions. The three day annual technical meeting of AAPT is held in the spring every year, and includes asphalt related technical sessions, symposium, and workshops. This year's 86th Annual Meeting was held on March 27-30, 2011 at the Marriott Waterside in Tampa, Florida.
